Cape Town soccer stadium
After 33 months of construction, it is final time to hand over the keys to the New soccer stadium in Cape Town. Today is the official handover day to the City of Cape Town. If the world thought South Africa was not ready for the World Cup 2010 then this might give the sceptics something to think about. After 33 months of construction the handover and completion is bang on schedule. We will be uploading some pictures for every one to see very soon.
World cup final draw is complete!
What a success it was! Who says South Africa is not ready to host the 2010 World Cup soccer event. Cape Town was alive, Long street was full of people enjoy the vibe and having a party. It was a bit disappointing that they had to close Long Street to the public for around 3 hours.
The support for the great event is starting to show amongst the local people. The South African youth are starting to play regular soccer games. Friends of mine, all big rugby can cricket fans, have a regular soccer game. I was a little amazed most of them have never watched a soccer game on TV before now. This is proof that the hype is hitting town.
