Lack of menstrual products has caused Millions of girls living in developing countries like Uganda skip up to 20% of the school year simply because they cannot afford to buy mainstream sanitary products when they menstruate. This deliberate absenteeism has enormous consequences on girls´ education and academic potential.
Beacon of Hope Uganda in partnership with Afri-Pads with your help we can help empower these girls by donating to them reusable sanitary pads. In Uganda, where the population is nearly 80% rural and poverty is widespread, reusable sanitary pads are truly a product innovation that is simultaneously an empowering and practical solution to an everyday challenge.
With the Mission of curbing the high rates of menstruation-related absenteeism among primary and secondary schoolgirls in east Africa. We hope with you this is possible. With only USD$ 5 you can support and empower a girl for a year, as this menstrual kit provides schoolgirls with environmentally-friendly (washable) menstrual protection for up to 1 year .
