Kurus English offers the opportunity to expand one´s knowledge and experience in Language, Culture and Discovery. We go beyond the ordinary English teaching requirements in order to provide students with an extraordinary South African experience. Therefore, in addition, to the General Intensive English classes in the morning, we offer afternoon, teacher-guided Language Excursions.  The students step out of the classroom in order to immerse into the cultural diversity of Cape Town. These cultural, Language Excursions provide our students with the opportunity to meet the diverse people of Cape Town and present the students with occasions to practice their English in authentic, real-life contexts.

What´s included in our course fees?

• Professional and intensive general English tuition offered through communicative and intimate classes of no more than 8 students, with our carefully selected, highly qualified and experienced teachers. Our air conditioned classrooms are tailored to pioneer your English speaking success.
• Exciting Language Excursions in the afternoons, which promote the practical application of acquired language skills, as well as providing a unique opportunity for you to discover Cape Town´s culinary, social and scenic magnificent variety.
• 10 lessons of Language Excursions per week include: language guiding, transport, entrance fees and, on certain Language Excursions, a meal or snacks and/or refreshments. 
• We also offer refreshments during lesson intervals. 
• Accommodation is organised on students’ behalf with a carefully selected host family, which offers a single room and breakfast and contains the bonus feature of being located close to the school (max. 30 min).
• All registration and administration fees have been included in the tuition with no additional or hidden costs.
• Airport transfer to and from the airport are included.
• Free internet access (WLAN and Desktop Computer).
• Course Certificate on completion. 
• Our Activity Manager will assist you in finding free-time opportunities and in making arrangements for any leisure time and weekends. From weekend tours through to extreme activities we arrange whatever you like to do.

In the event of any emergency, we offer a 24 hour emergency hotline.

Our Programmes:

Language Culture Discovery at Kurus English is provided in the following courses or as we like to call them: opportunity programmes:

Opportunity:  General English (20 lessons)

In the Morning:

• 4 hours classroom-based Grammar and Skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Vocabulary development.
• Prices (20 lessons per week):

Opportunity 1: Language Culture Discovery: (30 lessons)

In the Morning:

• 4 hours classroom-based Grammar and Skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking and Vocabulary development.

In the afternoon:

• 3 hour Language Excursion
• Prices (30 lessons per weeks):

Opportunity 2: Language Culture Discovery + private: ( 34 lessons)

• Contains the ‘opportunity one’ package.
• Recommended for TOEFL, IELTS and TOEIC Examination preparations as well as special Business Lessons such as: presentation, CV, specialist vocabulary etc.
• Special preparation will take place in Private Lessons (one-to-one).
• Prices (34 lessons per week):

Opportunity 3: Examination Preparation (32 lessons)

Kurus English offers preparation and master classes for:

• Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE)
• Cambridge Certificate in Advanced  English (CAE)
• Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)

In the morning:

• 4 hours General Intensive English Lessons (Upper Intermediate level for FCE, Advanced level for CAE and CPE):
• Grammar, Skills: Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking.

In the afternoon:

• 2 hours FCE, CAE, and CPE Master Class – For specific guidance, tuition and support aimed exclusively at success in the examination.
• Once a week, there is an opportunity to practice and improve your English while joining one of our Language Excursions. Furthermore, the Language Excursions provide you with the opportunity to discover the diversity of Cape Town and its people.
