About our Language School:

The Language Link is situated at the foot of Cape Town´s famous Table Mountain. It is close to all transport networks, and is also near to the University of Cape Town and many of the city´s best schools. Students come to us to learn English from beginner to university level, and many prepare for study through the medium of English. Students with specific language needs can attend the Language Laboratory on the premises.

Courses on offer at  Language Link:

1. 1 General English and Preparation for English medium students

This course offers training in:

• speaking
• Listening
• Reading
• Building vocabulary
• Providing a solid foundation for students wanting to progress into English-medium schools, universities and technikons.

1. 2 Academic English

This will further enhance student’s general English skills and encourage further work on:

• Understanding texts, making reliable notes and writing proficiently
• May also prepare students for IELTS and TOEFL examinations.

1. 3. Business and Workplace English

We provide training and skills development at your workplace to help with communication skills, editing and letter writing.

Language laboratory

Once your teacher has established what your particular needs are, you will work on a computer, practising and improving your pronunciations and listening skills customized to your particular needs.
Your work will be stored on a flash drive which your teacher will process and provide relevant feedback on. This will then outline you upcoming class work and homework. The benefit of this approach is that you are able to build your knowledge on the solid foundations of what you already know and progress gradually lesson by lesson.

Class information:

• Held between 2.00pm and 6.00p.m, Mondays to Fridays.
• You can have up to four lessons per day
