Add & find Volunteers South Africa

Volunteering in South Africa is a great opportunity to give something back to communities and people less fortunate. South Africa is a third world country in the process of development. Due to the history and different cultures of the country, there are many gaps in the social and economic environments. In many communities around South Africa, there are people within the community making a difference in order to change the situation. Non Profit Organisation are founded in order to bring recognition and structure to the community uplifting projects.

Volunteering is popular in Africa

In the past 10 years, volunteering has grown in South Africa and the rest of Africa.  This is largely due to more media exposure into some of the problems and struggles that the continent Africa faces. This exposure has made people around the world more aware of what they have compared to others. This awareness has triggered the movement and growth of volunteering across Africa.

Volunteer Programs in South Africa

When you are looking to go abroad on a volunteer program, you will come across many companies who organise volunteer programs for you. Volunteer programs organised through a second or third party can be very expensive. Cape Intern is building up a database of NGO’s and small companies that offer direct Volunteer programs. This will enable overseas volunteers to contact institutions directly and limit the cost of organising.

Find a volunteer for your organisation

We would like to offer None Profit Organisation (NGO’s) and small companies the opportunity to post their Volunteer opportunities’ on our website. Through our website, we would like to create a linking portal between NGO’s and volunteers. Access to our database of volunteer positions is free.  Once you have found your volunteer opportunity, you can use our other service to help plan the rest of your trip.
